Ingredients
- 1/2  tablespoon  olive oil
- 1 – 1.5 pounds lean ground turkey 93% lean, 7% fat
- 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
- 1/2 cup diced carrot
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 6  cloves  garlic minced or pressed
- 3-4 teaspoons  dried basil leaves
- 2  teaspoons  Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt plus more to taste (I did 1.5 teaspoon)
- 1/2  teaspoon  ground black pepper
- 1  (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 1  (28 oz) can peeled and crushed tomatoes
- 1  (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2  cup  chicken broth
